Tsugio meeting the newly built Atom!
Atom Cat was a tomcat that was found in a box by a young boy named Tsugio. After taking him home, and his parents allowing him to keep it if he took care of it, he named him "Atom" (Astro in the translation) after his favorite manga hero, Tetsuwan Atom (Astro Boy). But while driving his bicycle, Tsugio crashed into a car, which happened to be piloted by alien visitors. The alien visitors "rebuild" the cat, saying that it'd be a shame if the cat died and the boy started crying. They confuse the tomcat named Atom for the manga character, and rebuilt him as such! Atom Cat now has all of Astro Boys powers! Including flight, and super-strength, which Atom shows off the most.
