Jasper is the foreman of the Hydra, a power plant located on a satellite orbiting Earth. He appears exclusively in the 2003 series episode "Hydra-Jacked".
Appearance[]
Jasper is a bipedal humanoid robot. He wears a helmet that resembles a grasshopper, with yellow bulbs and two sets of antennae. His plating resembles a human outfit, a belted tunic with pointy shoulder pads and tall boots. He is short, standing at approximately 1.5 metres. As the plant's spokesman and public face, he was designed to be the most human-like of the Hydra's robot crew.
Jasper's eyes are a very dark blue. In low light, his irises appear black, but in direct light they appear more clearly blue. His skin is off-white, and he has a red sensor in the centre of his forehead.
Personality[]
Despite his youthful appearance, Jasper is a smart and level-headed power plant foreman. He cares greatly about his crew and all guests to the power plant, and under his watch, the Hydra operates smoothly at all times.
Even though he mainly works with robots, Jasper has a strong instinct to protect humans. When Mr. Donner feigns sickness, Jasper immediately takes him to the medical bay, and stays by until he is sure the human is stable. Later on, Jasper risks his life in order to save Mr. Donner when he gets trapped under wreckage.
Abilities[]
- Advanced electronic brain - Jasper is a Kokoro robot, which allows him to experience emotions and empathy. He is able to care for his workers and simultaneously process workplace tasks.
- Digital projection - Jasper is able to project images and text through his eyes. He uses this to broadcast short messages and to show maps, graphs, and images to others.
- Temperature tolerance - In order to help him work around energy and heavy machinery, Jasper is able to withstand high temperatures. Jasper is able to operate in severe heat even better than some of his crewmen.
